  • Responsible for working with and managing full consultant teams and contractors/vendors to successfully execute new hospitality/residential real estate development projects.
  • Responsible for scheduling, contract negotiations and project oversight.
  • Assists in the bid package development, pre-qualification activities, and budget preparation
  • Leads preconstruction meetings and coordinates answers to RFIs
  • Leads efforts to analyze risk and define schedule related issues, including analysis of long lead materials or equipment which may impact cash flow
  • Analyzes and presents project delivery approaches, develops alternative approaches and facilitates implementation
  • Responsible for managing the activities of general contractors & construction managers.
  • Tracks and monitors construction schedule and progress through site reports
  • Ensures positive coordination and liaison between design team, contractor, purchasing and opening units
  • Manages the Permit and certificates of occupancy process.
  • Ensures project costs are aligned with approved budgets; approves contractor invoices and change order requests
  • Ensures positive communication and team orientation with members of Development Team, Construction Team and Residential Services
  • Functions as primary liaison between Design, Property Development, Real Estate and Construction on specific concept items
  • Oversees project close-out and claim resolution


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred
  • 7+ years of construction management experience;
  • Proficient in estimating, scheduling, budgeting cost, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationships
  • Ability to interface with a variety of technical and business personnel with courtesy, tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to direct organize and communicate with team members at all levels
